,

This dataset contains images of individual plants that were used for trait measurements with aradeepopsis. This archive is 230GB in size. The results based on the plant_region_area trait are pending publication in: van Rensburg, Schandry et al., 2025. Within in the archive, there are two main folders: `experiment1_images` and `experiment2_images`. Each of these folders contains around 150.000 files.

- `experiment1_images` is a flat folder, files are named according to the schema `ID_-_TIMESTAMP.png`. - `experiment2_images` is more structured: it contains a folder named `images_05022020`, this folder contains folders per shelf. Each shelf folder contains several folders, each corresponding to a pot named `Tray.Position(ID)`. In these folders the individual images corresponding to that position in the chamber are found. They are named `Date Time(1_ID_number).png`, the number is not relevant.

`files_experiment1.txt` and `files_experiment2.txt`contain folder listings. `Rensburg_Schandry_et_al_plant_images.tar.gz.md5` contains the md5 checksum of the archive.
