This dataset contains raw Illumina sequencing reads and supplementary data generated from a barcoded transposon mutant library screen of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Choleraesuis strain 11-Galia-2015 during persistence on alfalfa sprouts under cold storage conditions. The data were used to identify genes contributing to bacterial fitness and persistence in the sprout matrix.

Abstract
