The attached PICTURE Data Use Agreement (DUA) outlines the conditions for using the dataset. By using the dataset, you are agreeing to the terms of the Data Use Agreement. The research data file (ZIP archive) is password protected and encrypted with AES-256. The password can be obtained by following the instructions in the Data Use Agreement. To extract the data, you will need a compatible program such as 7-Zip (Windows/Linux) or The Unarchiver (macOS). The dataset contains longitudinal data from the Bavarian Ambulatory COVID-19 Monitor (BaCoM), a prospective registry study conducted in Bavaria, Germany, from March 2021 to December 2023. BaCoM investigated the physical, psychological and social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people in need of care or support, as well as a comparison group without care or support needs. The data were derived from standardised questionnaire assessments and physician–patient documentation and were linked using the pseudonymised StudySubjectID. The dataset comprises a total of 2,059 observations, of which 2,007 are assigned to assessment time points T0 to T5 (T0: 1,037; T1: 635; T2: 220; T3: 86; T4: 21; T5: 8). An additional 52 records originate from physician–patient data files for study participants for whom no corresponding study-group questionnaire is available. These records were therefore not assigned to a questionnaire assessment time point; the missing VISIT_FINAL value for these cases is intentional and does not represent a data error. The baseline sample (T0) comprises 1,037 participants: 573 SARS-CoV-2-positive participants in need of care or support, 245 SARS-CoV-2-positive participants without care or support needs, and 219 SARS-CoV-2-negative participants in need of care or support. Prior to publication, the data were harmonised and checked for plausibility, consistency, completeness and duplicate records. A codebook and supplementary variable list document the structure and coding of the dataset. Additional data and substudies conducted within the BaCoM project are not included in this data publication.
