This dataset consists of a curated metadata list of 947 Assyriologically relevant journal articles published in over 80 Iraqi academic journals and originally made available through the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ) platform. The dataset was compiled as part of the CAIC project and serves as a foundation for further indexing and data preservation within the follow-up project IRAQDOC. The metadata are provided as a structured CSV file and include the following fields: article ID, DOI, title in Arabic and English, author names (standardized according to the scientific Arabic transliteration system as well as in original script), ORCID (where available), journal name in Arabic and English, volume, issue, page numbers, publication year, abstract in English and Arabic, license, and keywords (up to 4 per article). The articles span a publication period from 1971 to 2024, with a focus on 2010–2024. The most represented journals are Athar al-Rafedain (103 articles), Adab Al-Rafidayn (93 articles), ISIN Journal (79 articles), Magazine of Historical Studies and Archaeology (57 articles), Al-Malweah for Archaeological and Historical Studies (42 articles), and Sumer (13 articles). The dataset does not include links to the original publications or PDF files.
