The names of the recording locations are adopted true to the source (including deviating spelling). Should two or more locations have the same name, the local name suffix is appended if available and necessary, e.g., <em>Brixen im Thale, St. Johann in Tirol</em>. Especially in Austria, these additions are numerous and facilitate the distinction of various recording locations.<br>
Often, however, the smaller hamlets do not have any local name suffixes. In this case, the name of the municipality to which the recording location belongs will be given in parentheses, e.g., <em>St. Magdalena (Gries), St. Magdalena (Villnöss)</em>.<br>
